Piracy and Copyright Infringement
Piracy and copyright issues pose serious issues in the entertainment industries. Piracy is described as the distribution and reproduction of material under copyright, such as movies, music, or software, without permission. This has impacts on the creators and artists and cuts into the profits that are supposed to be recognized within the industry. Copyright infringement occurs when any person uses another individual's copyrighted material without permission, thereby infringing the exclusive rights granted unto the person creating that specific content.
The entertainment industry in fighting against piracy and infringement of copyright has adopted several measures. For example, digital rights management technologies can be applied to prevent access to content by unauthorized parties. Although DRM technology itself is not AI, it is another kind of technology; DRM systems can also deploy various forms of AI to improve their identification and prevention capabilities. These algorithms can feed the results back to DRM systems by recognizing patterns related to the distribution of unauthorized content, while continuously adapting and improving their tactics of protection.
Secondly, AI is used in combating piracy and copyright infringement. AI algorithms can screen online platforms for unlawful distribution of content, identify infringing material, and even predict possible copyright violations. Through the use of AI-enabled tools, the industry will go a long way in protecting the rights of owners of intellectual property and in combating piracy.
